Lola at the Market

Today was fun. Johnnie took me to town. I love going to town. All the smells, I grabbed a rib bone but had to drop it. When we reached the farmer’s market, there were lots of dogs to sniff. There were even some big dogs who were friendly. We ran into my friend Lola and she smelled so good. I mean. Wow. We were on leashes so we couldn’t really play, but we did get a good sniff in before parting ways.

We walked past restaurants preparing lunch and it smelled so good. The barbecue place is my favorite. I love it when Johnnie grills. Especially lamb. Mmm, mmm. I can taste it just thinking about it. Johnnie will grill tonight. I can’t wait. I’m drooling already.

Anyway, when we got to the park I ran around off the leash, chased squirrels, and grabbed a few quick snacks along the way when Johnnie wasn’t looking. I love woofing down cold-cuts. Somebody left half a sandwich and it was tasty. My nose is burning. A little mustard goes a long way. And there’s some rabbit poop too. Gotta love dessert.

Back at the market, we stopped by the snack lady, liver flavored cookies with bacon bits, yum. She’s always friendly and generous and Johnnie got a bagful for later. I got another taste of the rib bone on the way back to the car. Nice.
